The leadership and staff of Adams Thermal Foundation would like to express our condolences to all the families as well the organizations that lost loved ones, colleagues and friends on Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302. While the airplane itself is drawing a lot of attention, many people behind the scenes are in shock and disbelief and mourning for the lives that were taken so quickly and so suddenly. As the names and nationalities of passengers have come out, it's become clear that many were aid workers and those involved in charitable causes on behalf of the Ethiopian people. The airline, the airport and even the 2-hour flight to Nairobi are familiar to us. But the heart and passion of those who perished connects us even more closely to this tragedy. Many of the people who took off from Addis Ababa last Sunday morning were serving the poor, the hungry, the children, the refugees and the most vulnerable. There were people from more than 30 different countries on Flight 302, representing a unified world effort to solve human problems in Ethiopia and throughout Africa. And so, we lift up our prayers for all families impacted by the crash. But we also wish to honor those who were working for something higher than themselves out of a shared love for the Ethiopian people. May God bless the hurting and the sorrowful in this time of tragic loss.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18  (ESV)
